St. Gile's Church was founded in the 11th century by duke Wladyslaw Herman and his wife, as a votive offering for the birth of their son. The present gothic church was founded by king Vladislav the Short at the beginning of the 14th century.

In this church the Holy Mass is said in english on every sunday at 10:30 AM
